The project coordinator is the primary point-person responsible for planning, executing, and delivering projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with specifications. To achieve these important goals, the chosen candidate will define project requirements, scope and acquire project resources. Efficient delivery of project deliverables, effective quality control, clear communication of expectations to stakeholders, and upward reporting to supervisors are critical tasks that must be performed throughout each project’s lifecycle. In this role you will act as the key liaison between customers, the sales team and manufacturing. Additionally, they will proactively identify potential risks or issues, implementing solutions swiftly to maintain customer satisfaction and ensure seamless project progression.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the after-sale lifecycle of the project portfolio, ranging from strategic planning initiatives to tactical activities.
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all customer interactions and transactions.
- Resolve customer issues or complaints with a solution-focused approach, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Communicate production timelines, order updates, and changes to customers and internal teams.
- Process customer orders, track shipments, and provide updates on delivery timelines.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses, risk analyses, and ROI calculations to determine project feasibility.
- Manage project activities throughout the lifecycle, including the allocation of adequate resources, scheduling, documentation, budget, and other factors necessary for success. Input customer records and interactions in the CRM system.
- Plan all project timelines, milestones, deliverables, and micro-deliverables using the appropriate software tools and/or methods.
- Conduct project update meetings and forums to solicit feedback, input, and expectations; incorporate these into project plans.
- Track all project costs to ensure completion within budget; procure extra budget funding where necessary.
- Closely monitor the efforts and billing of third-party workers, such as consultants, contractors, and other specialists.
- Collaborate cross-functional with sales, engineering, logistics, and quality assurance teams to ensure alignment on project objectives, timelines, and deliverables, driving a unified approach to customer satisfaction and project.
- Follow up with customers post-installation to ensure satisfaction and gather feedback.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Post-Secondary Education in Construction Project Management.
- Experience working on projects governed by Canadian building codes required
- Experience working with local trades, unions, or permitting processes is required
- Proficiency in French is an asset.
- Two years of direct work experience in a customer service role, preferably construction, manufacturing, or a related industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated success in project delivery and execution of project management methods.
- Intuitive grasp of organizational structure to manage cross-departmental and cross-disciplinary resource allocation.
- Highly effective negotiation, diplomatic, and conflict resolutions skills.
- Able to effectively communicate with all types of staff, including technical, professional, and upper management.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $23.00-$27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 44 per week
