Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic part time Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe, fun, and engaging environment for dogs in our daycare facility. Your primary focus will be on the well-being of the dogs while ensuring excellent customer service to their owners. This position requires a love for animals, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle physical tasks associated with caring for dogs.

Responsibilities

Supervise and engage with dogs in playgroups to ensure their safety and enjoyment.
Monitor dog behavior and intervene when necessary to prevent conflicts.
Maintain cleanliness in the daycare area by regularly cleaning up after the dogs and sanitizing play equipment.
Feed and provide fresh water to the dogs as per their individual needs.
Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's behavior, health, and any concerns that may arise during their stay.
Assist with heavy lifting of supplies, including bags of dog food and cleaning equipment.
Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for both dogs and staff.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year experience in Dog Care or similar environment
Strong customer service skills to effectively interact with pet owners.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed (up to 50 pounds).
A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their care and well-being.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
