About us

Web3 is an Edmonton web design and digital marketing agency. We've been at it since 2008, and we're small enough that no one gets lost in a project for months and large enough to handle everything in-house. We're looking for someone to run SEO for our clients, and we want AI built into how they work, not tacked on because it's trendy.

The role

You'll own SEO outcomes for a portfolio of clients: research, on-page and off-page strategy, content that ranks, and reporting that actually tells us what moved.

This job is part strategist, part writer, part person who knows how to make AI do real work instead of just talking about it.

What you will be doing

Keyword research to find the terms worth targeting
Building and executing on-page and off-page SEO strategies
Writing content for client websites and blogs, structured for search and matched to each client's brand voice
Researching client industries so content is informed, not generic
Tracking and reporting on traffic, rankings, and other key metrics
Working with our designers and developers on site structure, navigation, and technical SEO
Sitting in on client meetings and meeting weekly with the Creative Director and SEO team
Using and improving our AI-driven workflows for research, content, and reporting

About the AI side of things:

**Here's the part we actually care about.

If you're still treating AI as a party trick, this isn't the role for you. We want someone who already uses AI tools daily in their SEO and content work: to research, to draft, to scale. You know the difference between output that's ready to ship and output that needs a human to fix it. You can write a sharp prompt, and better yet, you can turn it into a process someone else on the team can run.

We've built our own AI-driven SEO process. We're not looking to train you on it from scratch. We want someone who can sit down with it in week one, get why it's built the way it is, and start improving it. Built your own AI workflows before? Good. That's exactly the kind of person we're after.

Answer this in your application: Which AI tools do you use, how do you use them in your SEO and content work, and what's one specific thing you've produced or automated with them? Skip this and your application won't move forward.

What we are looking for

Real SEO experience, ideally agency-side or across multiple clients (2+ years preferred)
Strong grasp of on-page and off-page SEO, keyword research, and technical fundamentals
Working knowledge of AI tools for content and SEO, with examples you can show
Excellent written English and the ability to build a brand voice through content
Comfort with WordPress, Google Analytics, and standard SEO tools
Working familiarity with HTML, CSS, and metadata
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

Nice to have

Experience building or documenting AI-assisted workflows and prompt libraries
Adobe Creative Suite
Prior agency experience managing several clients at once
