Job Summary
Schedule: 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week (Monday–Friday preferred, flexible for the right candidate). Overtime available when workload allows.
Location: St. Andrews Airport, St. Andrews, MB (reliable transportation required — not accessible by public transit)
Work-From-Home Opportunity: We also offer a home-based sewing program for qualified candidates. We provide an industrial sewing machine, patterns, and all required materials. Compensation is based on production (piece-rate), making this an excellent opportunity for experienced upholsterers who prefer to work independently while maintaining our high quality standards.
About Us
We're a growing aviation interior services company based at St. Andrews Airport, specializing in aircraft seat reupholstery and interior panel refurbishment. We're a family-oriented business where taking care of our people comes first. You'll be joining at the ground level with real opportunity to grow as the company does.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll be reupholstering aircraft seats and refurbishing interior aircraft panels. Day-to-day work includes stripping old coverings, cutting and shaping foams, patterning, sewing, and fitting new vinyl and leather coverings to a high standard of finish.
At times you'll be working with minimal supervision, so we're looking for someone who can take a job from start to finish and hold themselves to a high standard. Attention to detail matters here—this is precision work where fit and finish are everything.
For participants in our home-based sewing program, responsibilities will primarily involve sewing aircraft seat covers and related components using our supplied patterns, materials, and equipment. Finished work will be returned to our shop for final assembly and quality inspection.
What We're Looking For
This position requires prior hands-on upholstery experience—we're looking for someone who already knows their way around foams, vinyls, and leathers.
- Prior experience in automotive, marine, aircraft, or furniture upholstery (required)
- Proven experience working with leather, vinyl, and upholstery materials (required)
- Comfortable operating industrial sewing machines
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Self-motivated with excellent time management skills
- Aviation experience is an asset but not required—we'll train the right person on aviation-specific standards
Why Work With Us
- Competitive compensation based on your experience and skills
- Consistent Monday–Friday daytime hours—no evenings or weekends
- Overtime opportunities when workload allows
- Small, supportive team where your work is valued
- Unique and rewarding work in the aviation industry
- Opportunity to grow with an expanding company from the ground up
- Qualified candidates may be eligible for our home-based sewing program, with an industrial sewing machine, patterns, and materials provided, and production-based compensation.
