At Snuggle Bugz, we’re passionate about helping parents navigate the early stages of parenthood with confidence. We’re looking for an experienced, data-driven eCommerce Site Specialist who is passionate about digital commerce, customer experience, and website optimization.
This role is a critical part of our eCommerce team and will help drive online growth by improving website performance, optimizing the customer journey, and ensuring our customers can easily discover and purchase the products they need.
Position Summary
The eCommerce Site Specialist will work closely with Purchasing, Marketing, Operations, and the eCommerce Manager to own the day-to-day management and optimization of the Shopify website experience.
This role is responsible for improving website performance, increasing conversion, enhancing product discoverability, and executing initiatives that support online revenue growth. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and results-oriented, with the ability to identify opportunities, prioritize initiatives, and continuously improve the digital customer experience.
Using website analytics, customer insights, and eCommerce best practices, the eCommerce Site Specialist will optimize website content, navigation, merchandising, search, SEO, and functionality to help achieve business goals and deliver a seamless shopping experience.
REQUIREMENTS
· 3–5 years of hands-on experience managing and optimizing a Shopify (or comparable enterprise eCommerce platform) website.
· Strong understanding of eCommerce best practices, digital merchandising, customer journey optimization, and conversion rate optimization (CRO).
· Experience managing large online product catalogues, including merchandising, taxonomy, collections, product discoverability, and website navigation.
· Experience working with Shopify Search & Discovery, Searchspring, Algolia, or similar site search and merchandising platforms is considered an asset.
· Strong knowledge of SEO best practices, including on-page optimization, technical SEO fundamentals, structured content, and product discoverability.
· Experience using analytics platforms such as Google Analytics (GA4), Google Search Console, and other reporting tools to measure performance and identify growth opportunities.
· Experience managing website enhancement projects, coordinating development requests, and working with third-party integrations.
· Familiarity with project management platforms such as Jira, Notion, Asana, or similar is considered an asset.
· Experience leveraging AI tools to improve workflow efficiency, SEO, reporting, merchandising, and digital optimization.
· Experience managing high-volume product catalogues (10,000+ SKUs considered an asset).
· Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to support website updates and collaborate with development partners.
· Results-oriented mindset with strong ownership and accountability for improving website performance and supporting revenue goals.
· Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
· Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work independently in a fast-paced eCommerce environment.
· Firsthand knowledge of baby products, retail, or our brands is considered an asset.

RESPONSBILIES
Website Operations & Optimization
· Own the day-to-day management and optimization of the Shopify website, ensuring a seamless customer experience across homepage, landing pages, collection pages, product pages, CMS content, navigation, and promotional pages.
· Execute website updates, seasonal campaigns, product launches, promotions, and merchandising initiatives that support business objectives and revenue goals.
· Manage website merchandising strategies, including collections, featured products, product sorting, promotional placements, and seasonal content.
· Partner with Purchasing, Marketing, Operations, Customer Service, and the eCommerce Manager to ensure website content, promotions, inventory visibility, pricing, and customer experiences align with business priorities.
· Conduct regular website audits to identify opportunities that improve customer experience, conversion, revenue performance, and operational efficiency.
Business Performance & Revenue Growth
· Own and monitor key eCommerce KPIs, including revenue, conversion rate, average order value (AOV), traffic, and product performance.
· Identify and execute opportunities to improve website performance and support monthly and annual online revenue goals.
· Use data, customer behaviour insights, and merchandising opportunities to recommend improvements that drive growth.
· Partner with the eCommerce Manager to prioritize initiatives based on business impact and revenue potential.
Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)
· Monitor customer behaviour and website performance to identify opportunities to improve conversion rate, average order value, and overall customer experience.
· Identify opportunities to improve customer journeys, including product discovery, search, collection browsing, and checkout experience.
· Conduct website audits and support A/B testing initiatives to optimize website performance and customer engagement.
· Analyze test results and make data-driven recommendations for future improvements.
Analytics & Reporting
· Analyze website performance metrics, including revenue, conversion rate, AOV, traffic sources, search performance, product performance, and customer engagement.
· Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve website performance and support revenue growth.
· Use data to evaluate merchandising strategies, promotional performance, and website enhancements.
· Conduct competitive analysis and identify opportunities to improve website features, functionality, and customer experience.
Search, Merchandising & SEO
· Own site search optimization, including synonyms, redirects, merchandising rules, filters, and product discoverability.
· Recommend merchandising strategies based on seasonality, inventory levels, customer demand, business priorities, and promotional opportunities.
· Manage on-page SEO initiatives across product pages, collections, CMS pages, and Learning Centre content, ensuring best practices for metadata, headings, structured content, internal linking, and search visibility.
· Partner with the Product Catalogue team to ensure product information, imagery, pricing, shipping restrictions, and enhanced content remain accurate and optimized.
Website Projects & Integrations
· Collaborate with internal teams and external development partners to gather requirements, manage tickets, test enhancements, and ensure successful implementation of website improvements.
· Manage website enhancement projects from planning through implementation, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external development partners.
· Create, prioritize, and manage development tickets, ensuring projects are tested and delivered successfully.
· Support third-party integrations, website applications, and ongoing Shopify platform enhancements.
· Perform quality assurance (QA), user acceptance testing (UAT), and post-launch validation for new features and website updates.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
· Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to improve workflow efficiency, SEO optimization, merchandising, reporting, and customer experience.
· Stay current on eCommerce trends, Shopify updates, customer experience best practices, and emerging technologies.
· Continuously identify opportunities to improve website performance, internal processes, and operational efficiency.
