We are opening a new Home in November 2026 that will support 256 residents in our community! The new Maple Villa is located on Palladium Way in north Burlington.
Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Administrator, the Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for providing clerical, analytical and technical support to assist in the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of all human resources policies, programs and procedures in compliance with all provincial and federal legislation. The Human Resources Business Partner will be required to conduct primary and secondary research, produce reports, and be tasked with providing support to departmental managers and support staff in the areas of recruiting, retention, payroll, safety, labour relations, diversity, education, and other HR policies and programs. Provide resolutions and consulting in the above areas to ensure profitable business operations. The incumbent will ensure that continuous quality improvement outcomes approved for the Home are met or exceeded, and demonstrate dedication to professional values and the mission, vision and values of the Home. Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance with clerical and technical support for HR activities
- Maintain accurate, up to date and complete personnel records
- Respond to telephone, e-mail, and in-person inquiries from employees, internal constituents, and other parties.
- Refer all inquiries to the appropriate individuals or departments across the organization
- Compile Human Resources reports and data including employee and workforce, performance, attendance and development
- Ensure the integrity of Human Resources systems including upgrades and security monitoring
- Advise managers and employees on the interpretations of personnel policies, collective agreements, laws, standards, regulations and compensation and benefit programs.
- Research salary scales and competency appraisal measures and systems
- Communicate to internal constituents Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards and regulations.
- Maintain time and attendance, payroll, human resources information and related record systems
- Ensure effective exit interviews and provide management with analysis and recommendations
- Administer employee satisfaction and engagement surveys
- Coordinate employee performance and appraisal programs
- Administer and record employee recognition and incentive programs
- Advise managers on WSIB policies, procedures, return to work, claims management and appeals
- Recommend, implement and maintain human resources data bases, computer software systems, and manual filing systems
- Undertake internet and literary research and analysis to provide recommendations for policies and processes
- Produce data to support business development
- Assist in the implementation, continued assessment and monitoring of indicators in regard to quality assurance, risk management, occupational health and safety and C.Q.I.
- Assist in collective agreement negotiations
- Protect own health and health of others by adopting safe work practices, reporting unsafe conditions immediately, and attending all relevant in-services regarding occupational health and safety.
- Follows all roles and responsibilities for employees and employers as legislated under the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Plan and organize staff events and recreational activities as requested

Requirements:
- Human Resources Management Diploma required
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management preferred.
- 2 years related work experience in HR preferred.
- Must have or be working towards the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of multiple human resource areas and applicable legislation
- Data analysis, basic research and presentation skills required
- Must demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to and learn new software
- Excellent time and project management skills
- Strong problem identification and resolution skills
- Must demonstrate an active interest in ongoing education

Pay: $69,871.00-$77,143.00 per year
