Full job description

Our Niagara based boutique Personal Injury Law Firm is seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Receptionist/Office Assistant to become a member of our Team and to provide support to our entire staff. The successful candidate will be the face of the office to greet clients and visitors to the office, and will be required to have a positive disposition at all times, strong organizational skills, and be responsible for the completion of multi-level tasks in a professional and timely manner. Graduates of a legal assistant or a law clerk program encouraged to apply.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Greet all clients and visitors to the office.
Welcome on-site visitors & clients and announces clients to appropriate team member
Answer incoming telephone calls, determine the purpose of the call and forward calls to appropriate team member as required
Retrieve messages from voice mail and forward to appropriate team member
Answer questions about the firm in general and provide callers with address, directions, and other information as required
Answer incoming emails, and forward emails to appropriate team member as required
Maintain office logs of all office files
Receive, send, sort and route mail and couriers
Office Filing, photocopying, faxing, scanning, etc.
Maintain client contact by making appointments, drafting correspondence, etc.
Ordering and controlling office supplies.
Run all office errands, including bank errands, court errands and deliveries to clients and others and therefore must have reliable transportation
Some involvement with office accounting program
General Office Administrative duties as assigned

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Monday to Friday

Salary: From $21.00 per hour or commiserate with experience, skills and training

Education:

Minimum Secondary School, Office Administration Diploma from a recognized College or Law Clerk Diploma from a recognized College

Experience:
