About High Park Company High Park was established to develop, sell, and distribute inspiring and iconic adult-use cannabis brands. Job Summary: Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager, the Licensed Technical Maintenance Millwright (433A) role in London, ON, focuses on beverage canning lines, specializing in seamer maintenance, troubleshooting, and precision calibration. The primary focus of the expert is to ensure maximum uptime and performance of our canning lines, with a specialized focus on can seamer troubleshooting, alignment and overhaul / rebuilds. They will perform preventative maintenance and lead mechanical improvements to minimize downtime in a fast-paced environment. Vacancy Status: Existing headcount Pay Rate: $40.00 - $42.00 per hour, based on tickets and experience Roles & Responsibilities: • Seamer expertise – Perform precise maintenance, adjustments, timing and overhauls on canning seamer (e.g. Angelus, Palmer). Execute PM procedures, including lubrication, parts replacement, and calibration of filling and seaming equipment. • Assembles, disassembles, installs, repairs, and/or fabricates as needed to maintain machinery, equipment, spare parts, tooling, change-parts, or facility in accordance to technical manuals/schematics/blueprints/SOPs/standard practices/experience/site resources/OEM resources as needed. • Diagnoses and troubleshoots mechanical/hydraulic/pneumatic/electrical/process/automation/HMI control failures on production lines, utilizing precision tools and corrects as required in accordance to technical manuals/schematics/blueprints/SOPs/standard practices/experience/site resources/OEM resources as needed. • System improvements – Identify opportunities to improve machine reliability and efficiency, recommending equipment modifications. • Fabrication/repair – Repair defective parts using welding (TIG/MIG) and machining tools (lathes, grinders). • Completes other system support work (temperature controller adjustments, calibrations, PMs, etc.) as trained. • Complies with PM, SOP, GPP, and regulatory requirements. Adheres to all safety standards, including LOTO and participate in 5S initiatives. • Completes documentation (work orders, PMs, calibration forms, validation documents, etc.) to GPP/SOP standards. • Executes assigned PMs and work orders as scheduled on time • Supports on-site contractors as necessary for PM or project activity. • Updates the CMMS with the required information for accurate KPI tracking. • Training team members in processes and procedures is required. • Maintains tools, toolboxes, and shop areas in compliance with GPP/SOP standards. • Performs other duties/projects as assigned. Qualifications and Education Requirements: • Ontario Licensed Red Seal Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A) • Proof of completion of Apprenticeship program • 3-5+ years of industrial experience in food/beverage manufacturing • Canning line and can seamer experience is preferred • Demonstrated experience in seamer setup and alignment preferred. • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). • Excellent knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes. • Skilled in root cause analysis for equipment problems. • Superior trouble shooting skills (mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, HMIs, PLCs. etc) and understanding of automation. • Strong communication, collaboration and teamwork skills. • Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet including scissor lifts and ladders. • Experience in the following: shop tools, lathe, mills, grinders, drill presses, precision measurement instruments, power tools, technical manuals/schematics/blueprints, troubleshooting, controllers, HMI, PLCs, calibration, and engineering drawings. • Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures. • Knowledge of First Aid and CPR an asset.
