The Role
Reporting to the Manager, Business Intelligence and Analytics, the Senior Business Analyst serves as a key business partner supporting Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Sales through advanced financial analysis, product costing, profitability reporting, and business intelligence.
This role is responsible for owning the end-to-end product costing process, delivering margin and profitability insights, and developing reporting solutions that support strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will leverage data from Sage X3, Power BI, SQL, and other business systems to identify opportunities for cost optimization, operational efficiency, and business growth.
The Senior Business Analyst will work cross-functionally with stakeholders across the organization, providing actionable insights that align business strategies with financial objectives while supporting Ganong's commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Who You Are
You are a highly analytical and business-minded professional with a strong foundation in financial analysis, product costing, and profitability management. You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy partnering with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Sales to turn complex data into actionable business insights.
You have experience managing product costing, analyzing margins and profitability, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, and identifying opportunities to improve operational performance. Comfortable working with large datasets and business intelligence tools such as Power BI, SQL, Excel, and ERP systems, you leverage data to drive informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
You are naturally curious, detail-oriented, and proactive, with the ability to identify trends, investigate variances, and provide recommendations that improve efficiency, profitability, and business performance. You embrace emerging technologies and understand how AI and automation can be leveraged to enhance reporting, streamline analysis, uncover deeper business insights, and support more effective decision-making.
You communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels and have the ability to translate complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable recommendations. With a continuous improvement mindset, you are passionate about using data, technology, and innovation to support strategic growth, operational excellence, and long-term business success.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in financial analysis, product costing, profitability analysis, or manufacturing finance.

Strong understanding of cost accounting, margin analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Advancedproficiencyin Excel, Power BI, and SQL, with the ability to transform data into actionable business insights.

Experience working with ERP systems; Sage X3 experience is considered an asset.

Professional accounting designation (CPA, CMA, or equivalent) is considered an asset.

Experience in manufacturing, food processing, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or distribution environments is preferred.
