Join the Opening Team at Farooj Abo Alabed

Farooj Abo Alabed is opening a new location in London, Ontario, and we're looking for an experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on culinary professional who takes pride in food quality, consistency, cleanliness, and developing a strong team. As Head Chef, you'll play a key role in establishing kitchen standards and helping build the culture of our new location from the ground up.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Lead the day-to-day operation of the kitchen
Prepare and oversee food preparation according to recipes and established standards
Maintain consistent food quality, taste, presentation, and portion control
Train, coach, and supervise cooks and kitchen team members
Organize kitchen stations and workflow for efficient service
Monitor food inventory, product quality, and ordering requirements
Help manage food costs, waste, and portion control
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety
Ensure proper food storage, rotation, and handling
Work closely with restaurant management to improve operations
Lead by example during busy service periods
Help create a positive, respectful, and team-oriented kitchen culture

What We're Looking For

Previous experience as a Head Chef, Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager, or senior culinary professional
Strong knowledge of restaurant kitchen operations
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a kitchen team
Strong organization and time-management skills
Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a high-volume environment
Excellent attention to detail
Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation
Reliable, professional, and accountable
Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Additional language skills, including Arabic, are an asset in our diverse and customer-focused restaurant environment, but are not required.
