About Stanhope Beach Lodge

Stanhope Beach Lodge is a boutique coastal destination combining comfortable accommodations, wellness experiences, Willow Bakery & Café, and a welcoming community atmosphere. Located just minutes from Stanhope Beach, we pride ourselves on delivering genuine Island hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.

We are looking for a friendly, organized, and professional Front Desk Guest Services Associate to be the first point of contact for our guests.

Position Summary

As a Front Desk Guest Services Associate, you will play an essential role in creating exceptional guest experiences from arrival to departure. You enjoy helping people, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are comfortable balancing guest service with administrative responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Welcome guests with a warm, professional attitude.
Complete guest check-in and check-out procedures.
Answer incoming phone calls and respond to guest inquiries.
Respond to emails and online reservation requests.
Manage reservations using hotel booking software.
Process payments and balance daily transactions.
Provide information about accommodations, wellness classes, local attractions, and dining options.
Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance regarding room readiness and guest requests.
Assist with café and retail inquiries when needed.
Maintain an organized and professional front desk area.
Handle guest concerns promptly and professionally.
Assist with administrative duties including filing, data entry, and reporting.
Follow all safety, privacy, and security procedures.

Qualifications

Previous customer service or hospitality experience is considered an asset.
Front desk, hotel, tourism, or administrative experience is preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong telephone etiquette.
Comfortable using computers and learning new software.
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) is an asset.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Professional appearance and positive attitude.
Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.

Preferred Skills

Reservation software experience (training provided).
Cash handling and payment processing.
Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of Prince Edward Island attractions is an asset.
Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy environment.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
