Assistant Controller

Our organization is pleased to offer an opportunity for a highly dedicated accounting professional to join our Accounting Department.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Controller, the Assistant Controller is a hands-on accounting role supporting day-to-day finance operations and contributing to the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. This role is responsible for Accounts Payable oversight, active involvement in monthly and year-end close processes, and support of credit management and operational reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
- Oversee day-to-day Accounts Payable operations, including monitoring workflow, and ensuring timely and accurate processing by AP team members
- Supervise and Support AP team members, including training and performance monitoring
- Review vendor overhead invoices to ensure accuracy, coding and proper approvals
- Manage Accrued purchases listing ensuring timely resolution of outstanding balances
- Ensure AP transactions comply with company policies and internal controls
- Assist with AP process improvements and documentation
Financial Reporting & Close
- Perform daily system reconciliations, including cash drawer oversight
- Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules for month‑end close
- Complete balance sheet account reconciliations with supporting documentation
- Assist with variance analysis and internal financial reporting
- Support year‑end close activities and financial statement preparation
- Assist with audit preparation and prepare auditor information requests
General Accounting & Operations Support
- Work with departments on installed sales contracts, reporting and margin analysis
· Assist with cost analysis to support informed decision-making
- Support credit management administration
- Assist with the preparation of the annual budget
- Support the Controller with ad‑hoc analysis and other tasks as assigned
- Participate in system and process improvements
- Develop technical accounting knowledge and professional judgment under guidance
Qualifications & Experience
- CPA designation or equivalent work experience with degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1–4 years of accounting experience, including exposure to full accounting cycle, cost accounting, and financial close.
- Experience with ERP systems is required.

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
