Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Fence Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing various types of fences, ensuring safety, precision, and quality in every project. This role requires a strong understanding of construction principles, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. The Fence Installer will work closely with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine fence layout and specifications
Prepare the installation site by measuring, marking, and clearing the area
Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment to dig post holes, set posts, and assemble fencing materials
Operate machinery such as trenchers or skid steers when necessary for excavation or material handling
Install various types of fencing including wood, vinyl, chain link, or ornamental fences according to project specifications
Perform concrete forming and finishing for post foundations as needed
Apply caulking or sealants to ensure durability and weather resistance of fences
Ensure all installations meet safety standards and building codes
Maintain a clean work environment and properly store tools and materials after each project
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within scope

Experience

Prior experience in construction or fencing installation is preferred but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates
Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating is advantageous
Familiarity with hand tools and power tools.
Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently is desirable
Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift heavy materials as needed.
We require candidates to possess a valid G drivers license.
We prefer candidates to have experience driving pick up truck with trailer.
