CNC Machinist / CNC Operator
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented CNC Machinist / Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate has experience setting up and operating CNC milling and/or vertical turning center machines and is comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC mills or vertical turning center
- Load raw materials and monitor machining processes
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions
- Perform in-process and final quality inspections using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Make minor offsets and adjustments to ensure parts meet specifications
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting as needed
Requirements
- Previous experience as a CNC Machinist or CNC Operator
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints
- Familiarity with G-code and CNC machine controls
- Experience with precision measuring tools
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Assets (Nice to Have)
- Experience with Heidenhein/ Fanuc controls
- Experience with Mastercam
- Setup experience (not just operation)
- Knowledge of machining metals such as steel, aluminum, or stainless
- Forklift or crane operation experience
