Full job description

Position Overview:

Reporting to the marketing manager as a Content Specialist, you’ll play a key role in developing creative and original content across a variety of platforms, including, but not limited to, social media, print materials, and video channels. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring fresh ideas and engage our prospects, customers and community with consistent and captivating content.

Video Production (From Start to Finish)

Uses strong editorial judgment and multimedia production skills to create high-quality, engaging content across formats—including written stories, audio, video, and photography—for use across a broad range of platforms to support the company’s goal.

Independently identify, plan and execute video shoots (camera, lighting, audio).

Visit job sites to film project videos, testimonial videos, product videos, showroom videos, trade show videos, staff content. Must be able to coordinate with internal teams on video and photography projects.

Edit video content for web, social, short form social (cutting, audio, color, basic motion graphics).

Deliver final assets in platform-ready formats.

Content Design & Development

Create engaging, high-quality multimedia on-brand content that drives website traffic and enhances brand awareness. This includes, but is not limited to, blog (written & videos), reels, stories, and short videos that are optimized for YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn.

Collaborate with marketing team to ensure all content aligns with brand standards, quality requirements, and strategic objectives.

Manage content calendars and ensure timely delivery of content across all platforms.

Graphic Design & Brand Enhancement

Create visually appealing graphics for direct mail flyers, brochures, catalogs, billboards, signs and other marketing materials to maintain cohesive brand aesthetics.

Support branding efforts through innovative and on-brand visual materials.

Collaboration & Communication

Stay current with video and design best practices, emerging trends, and industry standards to suggest innovative approaches.

Keep a finger on the pulse of customer feedback, managing online reviews, and ensuring a positive online presence.

Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure design consistency across all channels and materials.

Support overall brand positioning efforts and contribute to organizational growth initiatives.

Analyze content performance using metrics and adjust strategies as needed for optimization.

All other related reasonable duties and responsibilities.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in the content creation field. Such as videographer, graphic designer, or in a similar role.

Experience with social media, or local business marketing.

Strong writing, video editing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail

Familiarity with video best practices on social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.).

Must be able to understand, interpret and report on social media and YouTube analytics. Knowing what works, what doesn’t work, testing, how videos should be laid out and presented is an absolute must.

Proficiency in graphic design and video editing tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)

Experience using Ai Video Generation.

Ability to generate creative ideas and execute them effectively.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to adapt to changing trends and technology.

Preferred Qualifications:

A minimum of three years graphic design and video production, editing experience (using tools like Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or other industry-standard software).

Able to understand the needs and requirements of all forms of digital, print and large format media in both CMYK and RGB colour space .

Must be able to produce videos that showcase products in a high quality setting.

Knowledge of copywriting for marketing or advertising purposes.

A keen interest in marketing and a willingness to dive into various tasks.

Ready to wear multiple hats and take on diverse responsibilities.

Eager to learn, grow, and stay updated on design trends and marketing strategies.

Thrives in a collaborative environment and contributes positively to team dynamics.

Strong organizational and multitasking skills with high attention to detail.

Ability to receive and apply constructive criticisms from peers.

Versatile and open minded.
