Kitchen Support – Dishwasher / Prep (Festival Season & Long-Term)

Join a Growing Restaurant During Stratford’s Busiest Season

The Starlight is a fast-growing, independently owned restaurant in the heart of downtown Stratford, known for seasonal, house-made food, live music, and packed festival energy. As we expand our food program under new leadership and move into our busiest time of year, we’re building a strong, reliable kitchen team to keep pace.

We’re hiring a Dishwasher / Prep team member to support daily prep and service operations. This role is essential to keeping the kitchen organized, clean, and moving efficiently during high-volume services.

This is an excellent opportunity for a student or someone looking to break into hospitality and gain real experience in a professional, fast-paced kitchen environment or someone with some experience looking to hone their skills.

Seasonal (festival) contracts available, with potential to transition into long-term roles. Day and evening shifts required.

Responsibilities:

Maintain a clean, organized dish station during busy service
Uphold strict sanitation and food safety standards
Assist with inventory storage and rotation (FIFO)
Support basic prep tasks as directed
Complete opening and closing cleaning procedures consistently

We’re Looking For:

Dependable and punctual team members
Comfort working in a high-energy, fast-paced setting
Strong attention to cleanliness and detail
Positive attitude and team-first mindset
Kitchen experience is helpful, but not required

Strong performers will have opportunities to grow into prep or line positions as our team continues to expand.

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
