Full job description

Note : Starting wage listed is open to discussion based on experience.

Blair Sportswear is custom sportswear and apparel shop. We process custom apparel/product orders (Garments, promo products).
We are looking somebody to join our shop's front-end team and help facilitate fulfilling orders in a full-time, preferably long-term capacity.

This would be a hybrid role involving a large amount of customer service, order management, and potentially 'pre-production graphic design'.
A typical day might include working with a customer to organize and place their order from picking a garment to design placement to ordering! This could include creating digital mockups and/or preparing art files for the printing process (depending on your level of graphic skills - see below!)

Responsibilities:

Customer Service : This job has LOTS of customer interaction both in person, over the phone, and email. Social skills, clear communication and patience are a must!

Custom Order Processing: Some of this process includes recommending products for customers, providing pricing, and suggesting decoration methods.

Shop Maintenance: Daily tidying, organization and cleaning of work spaces is required as well as some larger weekly cleaning tasks like cleaning common areas.

Create Mockups/Proofs: Create digital images for a customer to ensure accuracy of an order. This involves basic knowledge of Illustrator so if you have experience with this that would ideal.

Digital Design Work : Vectorizing images, altering logos, re-creating art and creating designs as needed. This can be a small or large part of job, and would be dependent on your level of skill with graphics programs!

Prepare for the Unexpected : Every order is unique, and often requires trouble shooting issues as they come up so our ideal candidate is comfortable with jumping in and performing odd jobs as needed!

Ideal Skills:

Graphic Design Basics : Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop is a huge plus.

Organization/Ability to multitask under pressure : Able to deal with multiple jobs and handle a quick paced environment is critical. Self-organization skills (ie. keeping on top of your orders and tracking due dates!) is a must!

Computer skills : General proficiency with computers/email/online ordering

Social : First and foremost, customer service skills are key!

Previous experience in a print shop, sign shop, screen printing environment, or apparel retail is a plus, though not required.
