Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Food Service Worker to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving food, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food handling, restaurant operations, and guest services, ensuring a positive dining experience for all customers.

Responsibilities

Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS
Prepare and serve food items according to safety and quality standards
Handle cash transactions with proper cash handling procedures and basic math skills
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, kitchen areas, and dining spaces in compliance with food safety regulations
Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic cooking and assembling menu items
Provide exceptional guest services by addressing customer inquiries, upselling menu items, and ensuring customer satisfaction
Manage time effectively to serve multiple customers efficiently during peak hours
Follow all food industry regulations related to sanitation, safety, and proper food handling

Skills

Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS and cashiering procedures
Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices
Ability to handle food safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods
Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not required
Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting in hospitality or kitchen environments
Upselling techniques to enhance customer experience and increase sales
