Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role by assisting with meal preparation, food handling, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. This position is perfect for individuals with experience in the food industry seeking to contribute to children's physical wellbeing.

Duties

Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients
Help with food service during peak hours, ensuring timely delivery of meals and snack to children.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food is handled and stored correctly.
Support other kitchen staff in various tasks as needed, including cooking simple dishes or preparing ingredients for more complex recipes.
Assist with inventory management by checking stock levels and ordering groceries when needed.

Skills

Experience in meal preparation and food handling is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
Basic knowledge of food safety practices within a kitchen environment.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen, education, and management staff.

Certifications Required

- Approved Food Safety Course

- First Aid and CPR Level C

- Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check
