Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Bakery Clerk to join our team. This role involves assisting customers, maintaining bakery displays, and ensuring the smooth operation of our bakery section. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and food service, along with excellent customer service skills. Previous experience in food handling, kitchen work, or the food industry is a plus. This position offers an opportunity to work in a vibrant bakery environment where quality and customer satisfaction are our top priorities.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their selections
Prepare and package baked goods, ensuring proper food handling and safety standards are maintained
Restock bakery displays and ensure products are fresh and appealing
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery area, including equipment and work surfaces
Follow food safety protocols and proper hygiene practices at all times
Assist with food preparation tasks, including slicing, packaging, and assembling baked goods
Support the team during busy hours by providing excellent customer service and efficient service delivery

Skills

Previous restaurant or food service experience is a plus
Knowledge of food preparation, baking, and cooking techniques
Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Basic knowledge of packaging baked goods for retail sale
Kitchen experience within the food industry is advantageous
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: $18.25 per hour
