Clayton Hills Golf Course is looking for an enthusiastic and friendly Pro Shop Attendant to help create an outstanding experience for every guest who visits our facility. As the first face our guests see, you'll help make every visit enjoyable by providing excellent customer service in a fun, fast-paced environment.
Clayton Hills is a welcoming 9-hole par 3 golf course featuring our signature Backyard Practice Area, a unique 17,000-square-foot turf practice facility complete with driving nets, bunkers, cornhole, patio seating, and a relaxed atmosphere. We're proud to be one of Surrey and Langley's favourite places for beginners, juniors, families, and golfers of all skill levels.
Position Summary
As a Pro Shop Attendant at Clayton Hills Golf Course, you'll be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience from the moment they arrive. You'll assist with daily pro shop operations, including checking in golfers, operating the point-of-sale system, and helping keep the facility clean, organized, and running smoothly. Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with a friendly and positive attitude.
- Check in golfers and process tee times.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Sell golf merchandise, snacks, and beverages.
- Answer phone calls and assist with customer inquiries.
- Keep the pro shop clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Assist with opening and closing duties.
- Monitor the practice area and golf course as needed.
- Provide guests with information about the course, memberships, lessons, and events.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
- Work as part of a team to deliver exceptional customer service.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who loves working with people and brings positive energy to every shift!
- A friendly, outgoing personality and a genuine passion for making every guest feel welcome.
- A flexible schedule with availability to work weekdays, evenings, weekends between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM. Availability to work 4–6 hour shifts at a minimum.
- Must be 19 years of age or older, as you'll be serving alcoholic beverages.
- A valid Serving It Right certificate is required, but don't worry! If you don't have one yet, we'll happily cover the cost to help you get certified.
- Customer service or retail experience is a bonus, and experience using a Point of Sale (POS) system is an asset, but we're happy to train the right person!
- Someone who is dependable, punctual, and enjoys working both independently and as part of a great team.
- A multitasker who stays cool under pressure and thrives in a fun, fast-paced environment.
- Golf knowledge is a plus, but definitely not required. Whether you're an experienced golfer or have never picked up a club, we'll teach you everything you need to know!
