Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender and Server to join our dynamic hospitality team. This role involves providing exceptional guest service, preparing and serving beverages and food, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. Ideal candidates will have experience in food service and a passion for hospitality, with strong skills in customer interaction, food handling, and efficient order management. The position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills within a vibrant restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

Take orders accurately from guests, ensuring prompt and courteous service
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages using POS systems such as Micros POS
Serve food items efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation
Manage cash handling and cashiering duties with accuracy, including basic math calculations for bills and tips
Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, dining space, and service stations in compliance with sanitation standards
Assist in food preparation when necessary, supporting kitchen staff to ensure timely service
Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve multiple tables efficiently
Provide guest services that promote a positive dining experience, including addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly

Requirements

Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred, especially in serving or bartending roles
Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is highly desirable
Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
Ability to manage time efficiently during high-volume periods
Basic math skills for cashiering, billing, and cash handling tasks
Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
Prior experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is a plus
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed within the hospitality industry
