The Dot Canada is a virtual psychotherapy clinic working with clients across most of Canada. We're hiring a Registered Psychotherapist with strong couples training to join a team of 20+ therapists doing depth-oriented work from home. Trauma training on top of couples work is an excellent fit here.
If you've been carrying a couples caseload at another clinic, or running your own, and you're tired of the marketing, the admin, the chasing, and the inconsistent referral flow, read on.
About the role
You'll see couples (and individuals) entirely online through our secure platform. Our in-house marketing team builds and maintains your caseload through Google Ads, SEO, Instagram, and a regular newsletter. No Psychology Today profile to keep up, no networking, no client acquisition on your end.
We expect a minimum of 10 client sessions per week, averaged over a rolling four-week period. Couples bookings concentrate in evenings, so at least two evenings per week would be helpful.
You bring:
- Full registration with the CRPO as a Registered Psychotherapist (RP designation only)
- Formal training in a recognized couples modality (EFT, Gottman, PACT, IFIO, Imago, or equivalent)
- Real couples experience since that training
- Capacity for complex presentations: high-conflict couples, affair recovery, discernment work
- Confidence and experience working online
- Professional liability insurance appropriate for virtual practice
Assets, not requirements:
- Trauma training (EMDR is also very popular at our clinic, somatic approaches, or equivalent)
- Comfort with alternative relationship structures, including polyamorous, ENM, and kink-aware practice
- Sex therapy training
