Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Landscape Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team in a vibrant outdoor environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the beautification and upkeep of landscaped areas, ensuring they remain healthy, attractive, and functional. As a key player in landscape care, you will utilize your horticultural knowledge and hands-on skills to maintain gardens, lawns, and irrigation systems, creating inviting outdoor spaces for our community. This paid position is ideal for individuals passionate about gardening, landscape maintenance, and working outdoors in a flexible and fast-paced setting.

Duties

Perform routine landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, and edging using hand tools and power tools to keep outdoor areas pristine
Assist with planting, watering, fertilizing, and mulching plants to promote healthy growth and vibrant landscapes
Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks or malfunctions and performing necessary repairs or adjustments
Conduct regular inspections of landscaped areas to identify and address issues such as pests, disease, or damage
Support general maintenance activities such as debris removal, soil aeration, and seasonal clean-ups to ensure the longevity of plantings
Operate landscape equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to all safety protocols
Collaborate with team members to plan and execute landscape projects that enhance aesthetic appeal and functionality

Skills

Proficiency with hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and spades for precise gardening tasks
Experience with horticulture principles including plant care, soil management, and pest control an asset
Ability to operate power tools like trimmers, blowers, and lawn mowers safely and effectively
Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques aimed at promoting healthy growth and visual appeal
Familiarity with irrigation systems installation, troubleshooting, and repairs an asset
Excellent physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions with the ability to lift heavy objects when necessary
