As a Medical Laboratory Assistant I, you will be a member of the interdisciplinary team where you are responsible for providing exemplary patient care by applying regional policies, procedures & work practices within the laboratory department. You will provide high quality service to clients of the clinical laboratory in an effective, efficient & safe manner. You will be responsible for a variety of laboratory functions including procurement, handling, processing & dispatching of specimens, & performing ECGs. With a customer service focused approach, you build productive & respectful customer relations & take responsibility for customer satisfaction. Taber Health Centre Laboratory is located within the Taber Health Centre & services this Southern Alberta City as well as its surrounding areas. Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:
The successful applicant must have a strong sense of teamwork and possess excellent communication skills. Strong phlebotomy skills and adaptability are imperative in this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous rural experience is an asset.
