Position Description

Fulger Transport Inc. is actively seeking to hire a new Administrative Clerk to help oversee and develop our Mechanic Shop Operations. The ideal candidate would be an have experience with general administrative duties and automotive repair administration such as work order processing and inventory controls. This individual would be an autonomous self-starter with the ability to work independently.

In order to succeed in this role, the successful candidate will need:

- A basic level of computer literacy.

- Experience working with work order and inventory systems.

- Attention to detail and desire to participate in continuous improvement.

- Ability to attend fully in person at the office facility.

The main tasks associated with this position include:

- Work order processing and tracking.

- Managing the Inventory System including receiving, maintaining, and usage processing.

- Work directly with the Repair Team to insure satisfactory inventory levels and part ordering.

- Various accounting tasks including issuing invoices and processing payments.

- General administrative tasks as needed and as assigned.

- Reporting directly to the General Manager of the Shop.

- Other tasks as assigned.

2. Qualifications

Experience: The ideal candidate would have at least 3 years experience with administrative duties and 3 years experience within an automotive repair setting.

Skills:

- Ability to work both independently and within a team.

- Extremely organized and detail oriented.

- Must possess a strong work ethic.

- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

- Self-Motivated, ambitious and results driven.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Essex, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
