Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Flooring Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing a variety of flooring materials, ensuring precise measurements, proper surface preparation, and flawless finishing. Your expertise will contribute to transforming spaces with durable, high-quality flooring solutions that meet client specifications and industry standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential to commercial settings, while honing your craftsmanship and technical skills.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine flooring layouts and installation procedures.
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary underlayments or adhesives for optimal flooring adhesion.
Use hand tools such as chisels, hammers, and trowels to cut, shape, and install various flooring materials including hardwood, laminate, vinyl, tile, and carpet.
Operate power tools safely and efficiently to cut, grind, or finish flooring surfaces.
Measure accurately to ensure proper fitment and alignment of flooring components.
Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and masonry to coordinate project timelines and ensure seamless integration of building systems.
Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris in compliance with safety standards.
Follow safety protocols diligently when working with heavy equipment or during concrete finishing and restoration tasks.
Assist in estimating project costs by assessing material requirements and labor needs when necessary.
Complete projects within scheduled timeframes while upholding quality standards.

Skills

Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding construction schematics.
Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, caulking guns, and heavy equipment operation related to flooring installation.
Strong construction experience with knowledge of concrete forming, concrete finishing, masonry, carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems, welding, restoration work, and construction painting is a plus.
Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately.
Experience with tile laying and cabinetry installation enhances versatility on job sites.
Knowledge of construction estimating processes for material procurement and project planning.
Excellent attention to detail for precise measurements and flawless finishes.
Good physical stamina for lifting heavy materials and working in various environments.
Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients.
