Overview:

We are seeking a motivated, positive, and dependable full-time Forestry Technician to join our team of Resource Professionals working for the Capital Projects Department. Our mission is to provide the highest caliber of service to meet the needs of our clients, and we are only as good as the people on our team. This position will be based out of our Burns Lake, Smithers or Terrace office.

Job Responsibilities:

The responsibilities for a Forestry Technician will include, but are not limited to:

Collecting Field data
Preparing written summaries and assessments
Contributing to the team on a wide range of projects duties
Planning and working with clients to achieve their objectives
Participating in natural resource management activities across British Columbia, with travel throughout the province required.

Qualifications:

Registered or eligible for registration with FPBC is an asset but not mandatory
Resource field experience is an asset but not required
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, and Apple IOS
Physically fit and able to work outdoors; willing to work in diverse and demanding weather conditions
Strong commitment to safe work practices
Valid Class 5 British Columbia Driving License; experience driving 4x4 trucks and ATVs is an asset

Compensation:

The pay range for this position is $24- $28 per hour; pay will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
