Full job description

Key Responsibilities

Install, repair, and service residential and commercial windows, doors, and glazing systems.
Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain overhead garage doors, operators, and related hardware.
Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications.
Perform accurate measurements and assess job site conditions.
Diagnose mechanical and operational issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards.
Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in a clean and professional manner.
Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and office staff.
Comply with all company policies and WorkSafe BC safety requirements.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

Experience in glazing, auto glass, overhead doors, construction, or a related trade.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License with a clean driving record.
Physical ability to lift heavy materials of 50 lbs. and work at heights.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Commitment to professionalism, quality workmanship, and workplace safety.

Assets

The following qualifications are considered an asset:

Experience with commercial storefront systems, aluminum glazing, or curtain wall installations.
Experience with commercial overhead doors, dock equipment, automatic operators, or access control systems.
Forklift, aerial lift, or telehandler certification.
First Aid certification.
Fall Protection certification.
Blueprint reading and construction experience.
