The C.E.C. reports to TPCRC’s Interim Executive Director. They are responsible for the delivery of community programs, activities, & events as outlined in the TPCRC’s Work Plan, developing and maintaining partnerships to best support community organizations in service delivery, and administering the Community Small Grants funding.
This is a program coordinator position with additional admin duties as assigned.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administer activities and projects as outlined in TPCRC’s work plan.
- i.e. Indigenous Youth Gathering, Annual Santa Claus Parade & Skate, Be a Santa to a Senior, crafting and physical/mental wellness workshops with local facilitators
- Networking:
- Network with other community groups, organizations, and facilitators.
- Participate in activities related to community projects such as community forums, non-profit initiatives, and support public events where possible.
- Community Small Grant Program:
- Assistance applicants with completing forms and accept applications for the program.
- Present a condensed version of the application with the Board of Directors for review and approval.
- Monitor all successful small grants applications.
- Maintain project files and Small Grant database (Microsoft Excel).
- Admin Duties:
- Answer phone calls and take messages professionally.
- Keep the office space clean and functional.
- Maintain filing system for easy document access.
- Distribute and hang posters throughout the Tri-Community in designated locations.
- Other duties as assigned by Interim Executive Director.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Education or related experience in program planning or community development preferred. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, open-mindedness, and the ability to work with all community members.
- Experience working with organizations & groups and knowledge of community-based resources preferred.
- Knowledge in developing, coordinating, and maintaining programs and activities.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of Office Technology required.
- basic office technology i.e. computer, cellphone, printer
- office software programs i.e. Word, Excel, email and proficient typing skills
- ability to do data entry
- Successful Criminal Record and Child Abuse Registry Checks.
- Class 5 driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
- Ability to work alone or in a team setting.
