As the leader in the developmental services sector, Bethesda Community Services is currently recruiting those interested in supporting adults, children and youth with developmental disabilities.

POSITION OBJECTIVE

Bethesda is currently recruiting for one (1) Full Time Contract Graphic Design Student. Reporting to the Senior Executive Assistant, the Graphic Design Student will develop graphic content for the Annual Report and assist Marketing with ad hoc graphic content. The length of this contract is eight (8) weeks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Design and develop engaging visual content for the organization’s annual report, ensuring alignment with brand standards and messaging.
Collaborate with team members to translate data and written content into clear, visually appealing graphics, charts, and layouts.
Assist with formatting, editing, and preparing documents for print and digital distribution.
Support the coordination of content assets, including images, illustrations, and design files.
Provide support for additional design projects as required.
All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Visual Arts, or a related discipline is required.
Basic understanding of graphic design principles, including layout, typography, colour theory, and visual hierarchy.
Working knowledge of design software such as Canva and Adobe InDesign.
Familiarity with creating and formatting documents for both print and digital use.
Basic knowledge of file formats, image resolution, and design specifications.
Understanding of branding and the ability to apply brand guidelines consistently.
Completion of at least one year of study is preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Valid Driver’s License
Strong attention to detail.
Professional communication skills, both oral and written.
Excels at working with others to provide the most effective support to stakeholders.
Ability to navigate challenges and barriers, always looks for potential pitfalls and risks to help mitigate problems ahead of time, and knows when to ask for help.
