Summary
As a Quality Inspector/CMM Programmer, you will ensure our machined components meet the highest standards of quality and precision. Your work will directly support our reputation for excellence and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Perform First-article, in-process, and final inspections on machined components.
- Program and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) using Zeiss Calypso or similar software.
- Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and complete quality documentation (FAIs, NCRs, etc.).
- Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and supervisors to resolve quality issues.
- Support continuous improvement and root cause analysis activities.
- Calibrate and maintain inspection tools and equipment.
Requirements
- 3+ years experience in quality inspection in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience programming and operating CMMs (PC-DMIS preferred).
- Strong understanding of GD&T and precision measurement techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and part specifications.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
Asset Qualifications
- Knowledge of AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality systems.
- Experience with surface plate layout and conventional inspection tools.
- Familiarity with root cause and corrective action methods (8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa)
