Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Flooring Installer helper to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing various types of flooring materials, including tile, hardwood, and laminate, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects in residential and commercial settings, utilizing your expertise in flooring installation and related skills.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by measuring, cutting, and leveling floors according to project specifications
Install flooring materials such as tile, hardwood, laminate, or vinyl with precision and attention to detail
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation
Use hand tools and power tools effectively to cut, shape, and secure flooring components
Perform surface preparation tasks including caulking, sealing, and leveling as needed
Collaborate with team members and contractors to complete projects on time and within scope
Maintain a clean work environment and ensure all safety protocols are followed during installation processes

Requirements

Proficiency with hand tools, carpentry techniques, and blueprint reading
Knowledge of flooring materials, surface preparation, and finishing techniques such as caulking
Handyman experience or background in construction is highly desirable
Ability to read technical drawings and follow detailed instructions accurately
Strong attention to detail, craftsmanship, and safety awareness
Physical ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks efficiently
Driver's licence
Fluent in English
