Codexa is an early-stage AI startup in Montreal. Specializing in outbound B2B lead generation.
This is a ground-floor role. You'll be employee-level early, working directly with the founder, selling a product that's redefining how B2B outbound works.
The role
You'll run outbound for Codexa itself — cold calls, cold emails, LinkedIn, and campaign management — using our own AI platform to amplify your output. You source and qualify; the founder closes. Every deal you bring to the table earns you a residual for 12 months.
What you'll actually do day-to-day:
- Run cold calls daily — high-volume, targeted, with playbooks and AI-generated research briefs in hand
- Write and send personalized cold emails and LinkedIn outreach
- Manage multi-channel campaigns inside Codexa's platform (you'll know the product inside-out because you'll use it every day)
- Qualify inbound leads and book demos directly into the founder's calendar
- Hand off qualified prospects with a full prep brief — call notes, pain points, objections
- Feed product feedback back to the team — you're close enough to the customer to shape the roadmap
Compensation
Straight commission. No base. No cap.
- 9% of every deal's monthly retainer, paid monthly for 12 months
- Our plans run $5,000–$8,000 USD/month, so each closed deal you source earns you $5,400–$8,640 USD over 12 months
- Paid in CAD, monthly, based on collected revenue

Path to AE: As we scale, top performers move into closing roles with full AE commission structures. We're growing fast — this isn't a vague promise, it's the org chart we're building toward.
Who this is for
This role is built for someone who:
- Wants to bet on themselves and earn AE-level commission for sourcing work
- Has the discipline to run a full outbound motion without someone watching over their shoulder
- Is genuinely curious about AI and wants to sell at the front edge of how sales is changing
- Has cash runway or a financial cushion (no base means no income for the first 30–60 days while deals close)
This role is not for someone who:
- Needs guaranteed income to pay rent next month
- Wants to coast on inbound leads
- Hates picking up the phone
What we're looking for
- Fluent English is required — you'll be on the phone with North American B2B decision-makers every day, and your written outreach needs to read flawlessly
- 1+ years in B2B sales, SDR, or outbound roles (preferred, not required — we'll consider hungry first-time sellers with proof of hustle)
- Comfortable on the phone — you'll be making real cold calls, not just emails
- Strong written communication for email and LinkedIn outreach
- Familiarity with CRMs (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar) — we'll train you on Codexa's platform
- Self-directed and organized — remote-first means no one's checking your screen
- Bonus: experience selling to SaaS, agencies, or tech-forward SMBs
Activity expectations
Even without a base, we need real activity to make this work for you.
Targets:
- 50+ outbound dials per day
- 100+ personalized emails per week
- 20+ LinkedIn touches per week
- 8+ booked qualified meetings per month
These aren't ceilings — they're the floor for a rep on track to earn $100K+.
Pay: $40,463.17-$110,000.00 per year
