Full job description

Overview:

The Mixer and Press Operator is an hourly member of the Production Associate Team. This position is a crucial role in the manufacturing process and requires exceptional attention to detail to accurately mix raw materials and produce quality parts.

Shift Requirements:

Sunday to Thursday, 10pm to 6am.

Responsibilities:

Operate R7, R9 and R18 mixer as required.
Participation in 5S teams for each department.
May require unloading/loading of trucks using forklift.
Use a forklift to move materials.
Operate automatic/manual hydraulic presses
Operate machinery in a safe manner at all times
Weigh materials following specified formulas
Load materials into mixer by hand (up to 30 lb)
Use PLC controls to set water and oil additions
Use forklift to move materials
Operate Press ability machine
Other duties as required

Qualifications:

Must be clean shaven to ensure proper seal with respirator mask
Experience working in a Manufacturing environment, an asset.
Must have reliable attendance.
Accuracy, attention to detail, and good communication skills.
Ability to multitask.
Ability to work in a fast -paced environment.
Good interpersonal and reporting skills (written and oral).
Team player, but can also work independently.
Motivated, who always thinks in a positive proactive manner.
Experience with calipers and micrometers, an asset.
Ability to be on their feet for the entire shift.
Requires the ability to lift over 50 lbs several times during the shift, unassisted.
Quick learner who easily adapts to change.
Must have reliable transportation.
Able to work overtime, as required.

Requirements:

Ability to read weights and measure to perform machine operations. Ability to write measurements on equipment. Ability to operate basic hand tools such as hammers and wrenches.
Ability to stand for long periods of time standing up and walking. Ability to lift up to 50lbs unassisted.
