Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and organized individual to join our team in a unique opportunity that will transition into a management role for our new gas station and convenience store development in Matheson, Ontario.
During the pre-opening phase, the successful candidate will assist with office administration, filing, document management, project coordination, and general administrative support. As construction nears completion, they will become involved in developing operational procedures, assisting with staffing, and preparing for the facility's opening.
Upon opening, the position will transition into a Gas Station Manager role responsible for overseeing daily operations, staff supervision, customer service, inventory management, cash handling, regulatory compliance, and ensuring the overall success of the site.

Administrative Duties
- Filing and document management
- Organizing construction records and invoices
- Assisting with accounts payable and receivable
- Managing permits, inspections, and compliance records
- Tracking contractor documentation
- Assisting with employee files and onboarding paperwork
- Answering phones and customer inquiries
- Data entry and reporting
- Assisting with inventory and supplier setup
Project Support
- Gas station opening preparation
- Policy and procedure development
- Health & safety documentation
- Recruitment support
- Training program development
- Vendor and supplier coordination
Qualifications
- Proven office experience with strong clerical and administrative skills
- Supervising or team management experience preferred
- Merchandising Experience a plus
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and familiarity with bookkeeping and payroll processes
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Background in human resources functions such as onboarding or training is a plus
- Ability to manage vendor relationships effectively
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information discreetly
- Prior office experience combined with a proactive attitude for growth into managerial responsibilities
Pay: From $24.00 per hour
