Job Overview

MerMaids Cleaning Services is seeking reliable, detail-oriented cleaners to join our team specializing in high-end vacation rental properties in Tofino. Our team takes pride in creating exceptional guest experiences by maintaining luxury homes to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.

The ideal candidate is dependable, efficient, professional, and takes genuine pride in their work. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys independent work, beautiful environments, and being part of a supportive, fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

Perform detailed cleaning and sanitizing of luxury vacation rental properties between guest stays

Ensure homes are guest-ready with a strong focus on presentation, cleanliness, and attention to detail

Make beds, stage spaces, restock amenities, and complete property checklists to company standards

Report maintenance concerns, damages, missing items, or supply shortages promptly

Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in an organized and professional manner

Follow company procedures, schedules, and quality standards while managing time efficiently

Work independently or with a team to meet tight turnaround times between guest check-ins and check-outs

Help create a welcoming, five-star guest experience through consistency and care in every clean

Skills & Qualifications

Previous residential, hospitality, hotel, or vacation rental cleaning experience preferred

Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work

Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage time effectively

Reliable transportation and punctuality are essential

Physically able to perform repetitive cleaning tasks and lift moderate loads as needed

Professional, positive attitude and strong work ethic

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing schedules

Knowledge of cleaning products and safe handling procedures is an asset
