Position Description

The Child Health Evaluative Sciences (CHES) Program at SickKids is seeking a full-time Clinical Research Project Coordinator (CRPC) to support a portfolio of child health services and health outcomes research. Reporting to the Principal Investigator, the successful candidate will coordinate multiple research studies across all stages of the project lifecycle, including study planning, grant and protocol development, research ethics submissions, project implementation, data-related workflows, and knowledge translation activities. This role involves close collaboration with investigators, analysts, trainees, research staff, and external partners, including ICES, and requires strong project management, communication, and organizational skills. This position is primarily onsite, with the potential for hybrid work up to two days per week.

Here's What You'll Get To Do

Collaborate with the Principal Investigator on the development of grant applications, research proposals, study protocols, abstracts, presentations, progress reports, and manuscripts
Coordinate all stages of research ethics and institutional approval processes, including submission preparation, responses to queries, annual renewals, and protocol amendments
Prepare and manage study documentation, including ICES project activation materials, privacy documentation, dataset creation plans, and other project-specific regulatory materials as required
Develop, monitor, and update project timelines across multiple concurrent studies, and track key deliverables to support timely completion of grants, analyses, manuscripts, and reporting requirements
Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, document decisions and action items, and support ongoing communication across the research team and collaborating partners
Maintain organized project files, version control practices, and study documentation to support efficient team workflows and audit readiness
Liaise with ICES analysts, epidemiologists, collaborators, trainees, and other internal and external stakeholders to support project implementation and follow-up
Conduct literature reviews and support synthesis of evidence relevant to study design, interpretation, and knowledge translation activities
Support preparation of study results and knowledge translation products, including manuscripts, conference abstracts, presentations, newsletters, and reports
Contribute to study budget tracking and other administrative tasks related to project coordination
Foster collaborative relationships with colleagues at SickKids, participating centres, and community or government partners, as relevant to the research portfolio
Participate in departmental and program meetings, rounds, and other activities to support ongoing learning and dissemination of research work

Here's What You'll Need

Master's degree in Epidemiology, Public Health, Health Services Research, Health Policy, or a related field, with a minimum of two years of relevant research experience; equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
Alternatively, a licensed health-care professional with 3 to 5 years of relevant clinical research or research coordination experience
Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple concurrent research projects and managing timelines in a complex academic or health-care environment
Experience preparing and managing research ethics board submissions, renewals, and amendments
Strong writing and editing skills, with experience supporting grant applications, manuscripts, reports, and presentations
Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, and project management skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Experience working with health administrative data and large datasets is a strong asset, including familiarity with ICES processes and documentation
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and experience with reference management software
Familiarity with statistical software such as SAS, R, or Stata is an asset
Certification as a clinical research professional, such as SOCRA accreditation, is an asset
