About Haven Greens
Haven Greens is at the forefront of sustainable agriculture in Ontario, growing premium leafy greens year-round through cutting-edge Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) technology. Our state-of-the-art greenhouse harnesses renewable energy and advanced hydroponic systems to deliver fresh, locally grown produce — reducing the environmental footprint of traditional farming and the carbon cost of long-haul supply chains.
As a growth-stage company, we offer a rare opportunity to build something from the ground up. You will work alongside a passionate, mission-driven team to set new standards in sustainable food production — and grow your career as the business scales.
About the Role
The Business Analyst will be a critical analytical resource across Haven Greens' Operations and Commercial functions. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role translates operational and sales data into actionable insights that improve planning accuracy, drive operational efficiency, and support business growth. Core areas of focus include supply and demand planning, procurement analytics, inventory optimization, and commercial reporting.
You will partner with teams across Operations, Cultivation, Production, Logistics, Finance, and Sales to build the data infrastructure, dashboards, processes, and decision-support tools that underpin strong performance at every level of the organization. A central part of this role is owning procurement analytics and sourcing support — helping the business make smarter purchasing decisions, reduce input costs, and manage supplier relationships as we scale.
This is a high-impact, visible role ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of data, operations, and business strategy — and who is energized by solving real problems in a fast-paced agri-food environment.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain, Planning & Demand
- Demand & Supply Planning: Develop and maintain short- and medium-term demand forecasts by SKU and customer, reconciling commercial targets against production capacity and cultivation schedules. Own the S&OP cadence — translating demand signals into actionable production and harvest plans grounded in real-time operational data.
- Production Scheduling Support: Build and maintain planning models to support cultivation scheduling, gutter harvest planning, and shipping timing — ensuring production plans are accurate, executable, and aligned to commercial commitments.
- Supply Continuity & Risk Management: Monitor for supply disruptions, coverage gaps, and input shortages — developing contingency analyses and escalation recommendations to maintain uninterrupted production and customer service levels. Track commodity pricing trends and input availability, flagging risks proactively and recommending sourcing adjustments to protect margin and continuity.
Procurement & Inventory
- Procurement Analytics & Category Support: Support the development and execution of category strategies for key cultivation inputs, packaging, and consumables — including market benchmarking, total cost of ownership analysis, and specification rationalization. Conduct regular spend analysis by category and supplier, identifying consolidation opportunities, cost variances, and savings potential.
- Supplier Performance Management: Maintain structured supplier scorecards tracking key metrics including on-time delivery, quality, and pricing compliance. Act as an analytical point of contact for supplier performance tracking, issue resolution, and relationship support — escalating gaps where needed to ensure supply continuity and contract compliance.
- RFx & Sourcing Support: Support RFQ/RFP processes through bid analysis, cost benchmarking, and scenario modelling — providing data-driven recommendations to inform supplier selection and contract negotiations.
- Inventory Optimization: Manage inventory health across raw materials, packaging, and finished goods — maintaining optimal safety stock levels, minimizing shrink, and improving fill rates. Develop cycle-time and days-on-hand analyses to support procurement decisions and reduce working capital.
Operations Analysis & Reporting
- OKR & KPI Performance Tracking: Design, maintain, and report on operational OKR and KPI dashboards, enabling leadership to track performance against targets and identify improvement opportunities in real time.
- Operational Platform Analysis (Deloris): Serve as the internal analytics champion for our Deloris ERP — conducting ongoing analysis to surface trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Tool Development: Identify opportunities to build or improve analytical tools across the business — including automated reports, models, and dashboards — that reduce manual effort and accelerate decision-making.
Data Infrastructure & Continuous Improvement
- Data Governance: Work with operations and IT to ensure data integrity, consistency, and accessibility across key systems, supporting a culture of data-driven decision-making.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cultivation, production, sales, procurement, and finance teams to understand their analytical needs and deliver practical, accurate, easy-to-use solutions.
Commercial & General Support
- Sales Analytical Support: Provide analytical support to the Sales and Operations teams including contributions to revenue and supply forecasting models, Power BI dashboards, and reporting tools that surface consumer and market insights. Support ad hoc analysis to inform pricing, promotional, and customer decisions.
- Additional Responsibilities: Undertake other analytical and reporting tasks as assigned, supporting the evolving needs of the business as Haven Greens grows and new priorities emerge.
