Are you passionate about solving some of the most important energy and climate challenges facing Canada? Join Deloitte’s Climate & Sustainability team to help organizations navigate the energy transition to drive economic growth, energy security, competitiveness, and decarbonization.
As a new graduate Analyst/Consultant with a focus on the energy transition, decarbonization, and sustainability, you will work alongside a high-performing team to help organizations navigate complex energy, climate, and sustainability challenges. In this role, you will support projects focused on integrated energy planning, clean energy deployment, energy management, decarbonization, sustainable finance, and climate-related policy.
You will analyze market trends, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies to help clients make informed decisions in support of their sustainability and business objectives. You will contribute to client engagements by conducting research, building analytical and financial models, evaluating policy and market impacts, and developing practical strategies and implementation plans. Working across diverse sectors, including utilities, governments, financial institutions, and large energy users, you will help clients address complex challenges, navigate uncertainty, and deliver meaningful outcomes.
Your day-to-day will include:

Conducting research and analysis on decarbonization pathways, electricity systems, energy markets, clean energy technologies, and sustainability trends.

Evaluating policy frameworks, regulations, market developments, and investment opportunities that influence energy transition and climate outcomes.

Developing business cases, financial models, and strategic recommendations to support decarbonization, energy management, and sustainability initiatives.

Synthesizing complex information and communicating findings through reports, presentations, and stakeholder discussions.

Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver tailored, client-focused solutions across a range of industries.
You will engage in the full client service lifecycle, from research and analysis through strategy development and implementation support, while building relationships with colleagues and clients. Your days will be dynamic, with opportunities to learn, grow, and contribute to projects that support impactful outcomes.
Deloitte’s Sustainability and Climate professionals help organizations address some of the most important challenges and opportunities arising from climate change, energy transformation, and the transition to a low-carbon economy. Our team works across the intersection of strategy, policy, finance, operations, and technology to help clients create long-term value while advancing sustainability objectives.
We advise clients on a wide range of topics, including electricity system transformation, grid modernization, decarbonization strategy, clean energy deployment, energy management, climate policy, sustainable finance, and emissions reduction. By combining analytical rigor with practical implementation experience, we help clients develop solutions that are technically sound, economically viable, and aligned with broader sustainability goals.
We are seeking candidates who:

Are working towards completing a post-secondary degree or diploma by September 2027, with outstanding academic credentials.

Demonstrate strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills, such as financial analysis or modeling, market research and analysis, project problem diagnosis, and solution development.

Possess critical thinking and strategic analysis abilities related to sustainability, climate change, decarbonization, energy systems, and the energy transition.

Have experience researching and interpreting market trends, policy frameworks, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies within the energy, utilities, sustainability, or related sectors.

Can synthesize both financial and non-financial metrics (e.g., carbon intensity, lifecycle emissions, ESG indicators) into actionable recommendations that support client sustainability goals and operational improvements.

Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills, including conducting research, synthesizing data, writing reports, preparing presentations, and tailoring messaging for technical and non-technical audiences.

Demonstrate strong problem-solving, project management, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in ambiguous environments and adapt to a variety of clients and industries.

Are highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams); proficiency in data analysis and quantitative modeling tools such as Excel, Python, R, or other analytics platforms is an asset.

The salary range for this position is $56,000 - $84,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
