Primary Purpose of Position:
VPCL is seeking a reliable and experienced AZ Driver, who is capable of operating vehicles with manual transmission. The ideal candidate will have a clean driving abstract and a commitment to safety standards, including the ability to provide their abstract and Certificate of Recognition (COR).
Job Duties
- Operate AZ-class vehicles equipped with manual transmission to transport heavy equipment to project sites throughout the GTA and the Province.
- Safely load and unload heavy machinery, ensuring proper securing and balance for transportation.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and equipment, addressing any maintenance needs promptly.
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations throughout transportation activities.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and site personnel to coordinate pick-up, delivery, and any logistical details.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable transportation and environmental regulations.
- Driving logs are required daily via smart phone or tablet.
