A Day in the Life:
- Design and draft detailed drawings for architectural approval, shop fabrication & field installations.
- Create custom designs as required for architectural proposals.
- Provide complete fabrication drawings and bills of materials for each job.
- Utilize all forms of curtain wall and architectural metals that Flynn offers to its customers.
- Ability to recognize and solve basic and advanced Curtain Wall and UCW detailing issues.
- Read and understand Architectural and Structural Drawings.
- Foresee/solve and address curtain wall issues as they arise.
- Ability to read, understand and review Specifications providing input for potential risks.
- Resolve outstanding drawing issues and pursue contract clarifications as required.
- Demonstrate seasoned understanding of Curtain Wall/Window systems.
- Plan and execute Curtain Wall/Window shop drawings with input from the team leads.
- Review specifications and ensure all aspects of the project have been addressed and conveyed into the final shop drawing package.
- Correspond and plan the execution of projects with Estimating, Project Manager(s), and the Design/Construction teams.
- Understand building construction and sequencing.
- Check fabrication releases.
- All other duties as required.
What We Are Seeking:
- must have previous experience in unitized curtainwall in a job captain role.
- Detailed knowledge and use of AutoCad.
- Knowledge of Revit, Inventor, Vault are considered strong assets.
- Demonstrated proficiency for reading and understanding Architectural and Structural Drawings.
- Self motivated, strong organization skills, and strong attention to detail.
