Our diverse clientele benefits from a range of services provided in multiple languages. HOURS: Minimum 10 hours per week.
Availability: You will be scheduling your clients based on your availability.
EDUCATION:
This position requires a Master’s degree in Social Work or Counselling, or Clinical Psychology in Ontario. Candidates must be registered with their professional college in Ontario and hold Professional Liability Insurance.
OUR IDEAL APPLICANT:
- Registered Psychologist, Social Worker or a Registered Psychotherapist (No Qualifying)
- We are looking for an experienced COUPLES THERAPIST with strong clinical skills and at least 3 years of post-graduate experience.
- EFT-Externship and/or Core Skills training OR Gottman Level 1 AND 2 training
- Must be trained in CBT for Depression or Anxiety
- Experience working with anxiety, trauma and complex cases is required.
- Experience with providing couples therapy.
- Provide a minimum of 10 hours availability.
- Willingness and motivation to engage in ongoing learning through regular training and consultation/supervision.
- A desire to develop a career and contribute to our team.
- Passionate about providing client-centred therapy in a supportive, non-judgemental and safe environment.
- Dedicated to maintaining a high standard of practice with required documentation.
- Bonus if speaks another language.
- One-weekday evening and weekend morning in-person availability at our Mississauga, location.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and couple therapy sessions
- Conduct assessments and develop personalized treatment plans based on client/couple's needs.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Utilize language skills in Arabic, or Urdu or Farsi or any other language to effectively communicate with diverse clients.
- Stay updated on best practices and participate in ongoing professional development.
