Full-time position available in a 24/7 operation. Applicants must be available Sunday through Saturday for days, afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities for Tactical Security Guard

As a CBSA guard at Specialized facility, you will be responsible for exterior/interior patrols, room searches, escorts, pat-downs, and verbal/physical de-escalation as it is a tactical site and you will be working extensively with the vulnerable population.

In this role you will:

Ensure the protection of people, assets, and property.
Escort people within the facility, using restraints to ensure the safety of everybody.
Demonstrate empathy and compassion and a recognition that you are working with individuals under stress.
Observe, monitor, and report on behavior of detainees.
Conduct regular foot patrols - both indoor and outdoor.
Monitor and properly utilize security software and equipment.
Generate daily incident reports.
Utilization of tactical training to de-escalate potentially dangerous situations.

This work requires vigilance and efficiency, as well as strong customer service skills and compassion, as you will be working with individuals in vulnerable situations.

Requirements for CBSA Tactical Security Guard

A valid Ontario security guard license
A valid and current First Aid/CPR Level C certificate from a WSIB-recognized training provider
This position requires Canadian citizenship or permanent residency due to contractual obligations with our client.
Minimum high school diploma from a recognized education provider
This position requires passing a Public Works Clearance and a Vulnerable Sector Check
Available to work flexible hours, in a full-time or part-time capacity.
1 year of experience working in the vulnerable sector with Use of Force training
1 year of tactical security experience with Use of Force training
Ability to demonstrate leadership capabilities.
Experience working in a high-stress environment with quick responsiveness to emergency situations.
Understanding of the importance of confidentiality, security, and safety
