GPS Excavator / Dozer Operator - Construction

We have an exciting IMMEDIATE opportunity for an GPS Excavator/Dozer Operator within our Construction team.
Location: QM is currently seeking a GPS Excavator/Dozer Operator to join our team for the delivery of a project at the Whitby, ON
POSITION SUMMARY:
As an GPS Excavator Operator with QM Environmental you will be operating excavators a specific site in a safe manner. If experience only in one or the other that is fine. Projects include demolition and reclamation sites, including the removal of contaminated soils, construction of landfills, and building demolition.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Follow all QMLP safety procedures and policies.
· Ensure safety and security of cargo
· Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, etc.
· Report any required or preventative maintenance to supervisor/shop foreman
· Comply with applicable legislation including safe operation, carriage of goods, driver’s hours, occupational health and safety
· Drive excavator in a safe and effective manner in order to minimize the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life
· Clean excavators as scheduled and/or required
· Participate in routine maintenance
· Ability to read and write to keep daily records
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience:
· Valid Class G Drivers license
· Clean Drivers Abstract
· Minimum of 2 years of excavator or dozer experience with GPS controls.
Abilities:
· Able to work long hours, overtime and possible weekend work in various weather conditions.
· Be fit for work every day
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is on the project site. Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be required for all site work.
