Job Overview

We are interested in hiring an experienced insulation installer to complete quality and detailed work. If you have the experience and possess a good attitude, we want to hear from you! Jobs will be within Toronto and GTA. Additional compensation is made for jobs outside a 60km radius of our head office.

The key responsibilities of an insulation installer are the following:

Follow directions provided by Foreman or Superintendent
Install batt insulation inside of walls, ceilings, bulkheads and sloped roofs according to company standards
Install attic blown in insulation
Install commercial garage insulation
Install rigid and semi-rigid insulation
Install fiberglass, blanket and mineral batts
Install vapour barrier
Install Vapour caulking
Evaluate projects conditions and complete quantity takeoffs
Prepare work site by protecting windows and floors as needed
Dispose waste materials and clean up
Conduct site inspections with clients and building officials
Set up and take down scaffolding as required
Enforce and follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Clock in and clock out on company timesheet including detailed description of duties performed.
Ensure scope of work is being completed efficiently and according to company standards
Train apprentices and prospective employees.

Job Qualifications

Minimum 5 years work experience installing insulation on mid-sized residential or commercial constructions projects
WHIMIS and Working at Heights Training
Have their own tools
Understanding of building code requirements and building performance
In - depth knowledge of construction process from material selection, techniques, and tools
Take pride in their work
Detail oriented
Physically able to lift heavy tools and materials
Able to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings is a benefit but not required
Effective communication skills with the ability to give and take direction from others
Must be punctual and having own means of transportation
Great attitude and willingness to learn and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances
