Looking for More Than Another Plumbing Job?
Safeline Plumbing & Mechanical is looking for an experienced Ontario-licensed service plumber to join our high-rise residential and commercial service team throughout Toronto and the GTA.
We’re looking for someone who can work independently, troubleshoot problems properly, communicate professionally with clients, and take pride in representing the company.
Our work is varied. One day may involve service and troubleshooting, another an emergency call or building shutdown, and another an investigation or larger plumbing project.
If you enjoy solving problems and don’t want to do the same type of plumbing work every day, this may be a good fit.
The Role
You’ll work primarily in high-rise residential and commercial properties. Your work may include:
- Service calls, troubleshooting and leak investigations
- Valve replacements and building/riser shutdowns
- Drainage work and camera inspections
- Plumbing repairs and preventative maintenance
- Emergency service calls
- Site investigations and determining requirements for future quoted work
- Scheduled plumbing projects
- Identifying materials, equipment and labour requirements for upcoming work
- Providing clear information and recommendations to our office following investigations
Our technicians generally dispatch directly from home to their first scheduled job in their company service vehicle. Scheduling, job information, photographs and reporting are managed through our scheduling software, with strong communication and support from our office throughout the day.
Because you’ll work directly with property managers, superintendents, building staff and residents, professional communication and customer service are essential to this position.
What We’re Looking For
- Valid Ontario 306A Plumber Certificate of Qualification
- Strong service-plumbing experience
- High-rise residential and/or commercial plumbing experience preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic ability
- Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions
- Professional communication and customer-service skills
- Strong documentation and reporting habits
- Comfortable using a smartphone and digital field-service software
- Valid Ontario driver’s licence with an acceptable driving record
- Strong commitment to health and safety
- Comfortable participating in the on-call rotation of a 24/7 service company
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate with the office throughout the workday
We’re looking for someone who is reliable, accountable, professional and takes pride in doing the job properly.
