Transparency matters to us. For this role, you can expect a salary between $60,000-80,000 annually, depending on experience. This is for an existing vacancy.
As a Producer at Magic Circle Workshop, you will produce jobs across social, OLV, radio, broadcast and/or special projects. You will report to the Senior Director of Video Production and work closely with our creative and business departments across the network, acting as an expert in the room on all things production. Role:
- The Producer takes full charge of supervising production projects from start to finish, ensuring their planning, execution, and finalization. They work in close collaboration with creative and strategic teams to optimize processes and deliver productions that meet client expectations. The role requires a global vision and deep expertise to guide projects toward success while managing resources and maintaining MCW’s level of quality.
End-to-End Project Supervision:
- As a Producer, you are responsible for the end-to-end management of projects. This includes defining objectives, scheduling timelines and budgets, and supervising all stages of production. You are the central point of contact and primary coordination lead between various internal teams and external partners (e.g., production companies).
Process Optimization and Resource Management:
- You take a strategic approach to optimizing workflows and ensuring the efficient use of resources. You are responsible for regularly reassessing production processes to create efficiencies and reduce costs, while always keeping the delivery of a memorable product in mind.
Leadership and Broad Collaboration:
- With your knowledge and expertise, you guide teams, fostering a collaborative work environment and encouraging team members to give their best. You know how to rally internal teams, and you work closely with clients to ensure their satisfaction.
Innovation and Technological Evolution:
- By staying on top of the latest technologies and trends, you propose innovative solutions to improve productions, skillfully juggling efficiency and product quality. You use modern tools, including those incorporating artificial intelligence, to streamline processes and deliver cutting-edge creative solutions to internal teams and clients.
Quality and Impact of Deliverables:
- You ensure that every deliverable and project meets the quality standards established at MCW, while ensuring projects reach their full creative potential. You are a key contributor to strategic decisions aimed at maximizing the impact of productions.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- A background in a creative agency role, with other production experience advantageous (film & TV, production company, social content).
- 4+ years of live action video production experience across social, digital & broadcast.
- Experience in managing multiple projects at once.
- Understanding of local union mandates like ACTRA / UDA
- Superb organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience in Adobe Creative Suite and PM software is advantageous.
- Ability to lead projects, collaborate with teams and be a valued and respected member of the team.
- Toronto-based with flexibility to work extended hours and/or weekends to meet project deadlines (when necessary).
