About the job
Regional Clinic Director
Toronto & Ottawa
Pollin Fertility
Full-time
Starting at $150,000
Reports to: Medical Director / VP Operations
Pollin is expanding. This is a senior leadership role for someone who wants to shape what a modern fertility organization looks like — across multiple sites, across disciplines, and at a pivotal moment in our growth.
About Pollin Fertility
Pollin Fertility is a reproductive healthcare organization built on the belief that fertility care can be better - more personal, more inclusive, and more technologically capable. We operate across Toronto and Ottawa and are in an active phase of growth. The Regional Clinic Director will be central to how that growth happens.
The Opportunity
This is Pollin's senior operational leadership role. You'll oversee clinical operations, people, quality, compliance, patient experience, and financial performance across our Toronto and Ottawa sites - while working directly with the Medical Director, physicians, laboratory leadership, and executive team. The role requires someone who is equally comfortable in a clinical conversation and a budget review, who can lead through other leaders, and who has the organizational intelligence to know which problems to solve personally and which to empower others to solve. You'll be joining a leadership team that is actively being built - which means real influence over how the structure takes shape. This is not a role for someone who wants a quiet year of maintenance. It's for a healthcare operations leader who wants to build.
What You'll Own
Multi-Site Operational Performance
- Oversee day-to-day performance of Toronto and Ottawa clinics - standards, workflows, staffing, culture.
- Ensure consistency across sites without turning everything into a policy document.
- Lead operational readiness for expansion: new sites, new programs, new service lines.
- Build communication structures that keep clinic teams connected to central leadership.
Clinical Program Leadership
- Oversee operational delivery of all fertility programs: IVF, IUI, low-intervention, cycle monitoring, third-party services.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, and the IVF lab to keep interdisciplinary care working well.
- Ensure programs are appropriately resourced, staffed, and continuously improving.
People Leadership
- Recruit, lead, and develop clinic management teams across both sites.
- Set the tone for a culture that is compassionate, accountable, and high-performing.
- Own performance management, succession planning, and leadership development for your direct reports.
- Keep morale high through transparency, follow-through, and genuine investment in your team's growth.
Third-Party and Partner Coordination
- Oversee integration of donor agencies, surrogacy agencies, external labs, couriers, and vendors into clinical workflows.
- Ensure third-party processes meet Pollin's clinical standards, regulatory requirements, and patient expectations.
- Lead performance reviews and corrective action follow-up for external partners.
Quality, Safety, and Compliance
- Own quality assurance and continuous improvement across both sites.
- Ensure compliance with clinical, regulatory, accreditation, privacy, and infection prevention requirements.
- Lead audit and inspection readiness; manage incidents, documentation standards, and corrective actions.
Financial and Resource Management
- Develop and manage operational budgets in partnership with Finance and executive leadership.
- Oversee capacity planning for IVF and egg freezing volumes, staffing, space, and equipment across sites.
- Monitor expenses and find opportunities to improve efficiency without compromising care quality.
Strategy and Continuous Improvement
- Use data, operational metrics, and team feedback to set priorities and measure progress.
- Lead adoption of new technologies, clinical systems improvements, and operational best practices.
- Partner with the technology team to make sure systems actually support how the clinic runs.
What We're Looking For
Required
- Minimum 5 years of progressive healthcare operations leadership.
- Minimum 2 years in a management or senior leadership role.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in a clinical, ambulatory, surgical, or specialty care environment.
- Strong working knowledge of clinical operations, patient flow, quality improvement, compliance, and budgeting.
- Experience with SOP development, audits, accreditation, or regulatory readiness.
- High emotional intelligence - you lead with empathy, not just authority.
- Able to manage competing priorities across multiple teams and locations.
- Comfortable with clinical systems, Google Workspace, and data-informed decision making.
- Registered Nurse or regulated healthcare professional in good standing with the relevant Ontario college.
Strongly Preferred
- Experience in fertility, reproductive medicine, IVF, women's health, or specialty clinic operations - valued but not required.
- Experience supporting clinic expansion or multi-site operations.
- Experience managing third-party clinical partnerships (donor agencies, external labs, etc.).
- BCLS certification; ACLS and WHMIS an asset.
Working Conditions
Full-time. On-site presence required, with regular travel between Toronto and Ottawa. Clinic operations run 7 days a week, typically 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Weekend and after-hours availability required. Must comply with all infection prevention, privacy, and safety standards.
Why Pollin?
Pollin is at an inflection point - established enough to have strong clinical foundations, early enough that the decisions made in the next two years will define what the organization becomes. The Regional Clinic Director will be part of making those decisions. The senior leadership team is being built thoughtfully, not quickly. If you're someone who wants to grow into an organization rather than simply join one, the timing here is right. If you've been waiting for the right place to do the best work of your career in healthcare operations, this is worth a conversation.
Pollin Fertility is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and are committed to a diverse, inclusive workplace. Accommodations are available throughout the hiring process.
