WORKDAY HCM EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE.
PLEASE NOTE = HOSPITAL WORKDAY EXPERIENCE IS A DEFINITE ASSET.
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Workday HCM Implementation Consultant (Contract) to join our team for a major system transformation. In this role, you will be the core subject matter expert responsible for bridging the gap between operational business requirements and Workday configuration. You will focus heavily on mapping complex organizational structures, defining future-state workflows, and aligning core HCM workflows and data with downstream UKG Pro WFM and Vocantas systems.
The ideal candidate brings deep technical knowledge of the Workday platform combined with hands-on experience navigating the unique compliance, data tracking, and governance challenges of a large, unionized workforce or public healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Process & Configuration Lead: Lead the analysis, design, and configuration of core Workday HCM logic and modules to support future-state operational workflows around scheduling, timekeeping and payroll.
- Requirement Gathering & Translation: Facilitate workshops with cross-functional stakeholders (HR, IT, Finance, Operations) to capture complex business logic and translate it into clear functional specifications.
- Union & Compliance Rules Mapping: Partner with payroll and scheduling leads to ensure Workday core data structures seamlessly support the hospital's collective bargaining agreements (CBAs), shift premiums, and seniority tracking.
- Integration & Dataflow Support: Collaborate with technical leads to define inbound/outbound dataflows, integrations and CRTs between Workday and UKG.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Support the development of testing scenarios, support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), end-to-end, parallel and gold build testing - and troubleshoot system issues to ensure go-live readiness.
- Change Support & Upskilling: Assist in building targeted training documentation and providing post-launch hypercare to upskill internal HR and administrative teams.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience with Workday HCM implementations.
- Sector Expertise: Proven experience working with large, complex, unionized workforces (Healthcare/Hospital environment is an asset).
- Functional Depth: Strong configuration knowledge of Core HCM, business processes, data flows and security groups. Familiarity with how Workday interacts with UKG for time tracking, scheduling, absence, payroll and accruals is highly desired.
- CBA Fluency: Demonstrated ability to understand and interpret complex collective agreement rules and convert them into system logic or data requirements.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills with a proven track record of managing competing priorities across siloed departments.
- Education/Certifications: Workday Pro or Partner Certifications in Core HCM are highly valued, though equivalent hands-on project experience will be strongly considered.
To Apply: Please submit your resume along with a brief summary of your previous implementation experience in a unionized or healthcare setting to [email protected]
